Watch the video & then head over to PaleoChix blog post - Please Help The Children
Some great advice in that article: "I have clients that tell me their kids are picky eaters, well so are mine, but if I do not bring cupcakes and frozen pizza in the house, they will eat what I serve. I am in charge not the 7 or 3 year old." Also check out the comments where other parents are posting how they overcame the obstacles in their struggle with current health & school systems.
Three rounds for time of:
50 Air Squats
7 Muscle Ups
10 Hang Power Cleans
Post times & thoughts to comments.
How many people rely on Insulin medication instead of on their brain to solve their own health problems? Because no one else is going to do it for them.
Here's a very simple article on Low Insulin Diet (aka Low Carb Diet, Atkins, Protein Power, Paleo etc) & why they work.

It's sad to see that children are clueless about real food. Although my kids don't eat a perfect paleo diet, they sure did enjoy the "Paleo Shepherds Pie" I just made. Recipe from the recipe section. Delicious!! A little high in salt b/c of the beef broth but sooo good. I recommend using a braun hand blender to mash the cauliflower.
As a mother of three young children all in elementary school I have SEEN and HEARD IT ALL! Not sure how many members we have with little ones in the elementary aged years but I have three and what children eat, no matter what the social-economic place they are, is horrible. My son was picked on our first year here when he was in third grade because he had cucumbers in his lunch everyday! Ewww, what's that? was common. I mean really, a sandwich with turkey, cheese on brown bread, cucumbers, real apples, raisins, a few pretzels (not paleo) and wow, water to drink! I actually had to stop giving him cottage cheese because the kids were relentless with that. Interestingly though, by the end of the year kids were jealous of his lunches....hmmmm, wonder why? And truth be told, it takes a strong parent - and this sounds so incredibly stupid now - to deal with peer pressure of your "friends" when your thye are not on the same page. I had women tell me I was DENYING MY CHILDREN A GIFT OF CHILDHOOD by not feeding them pop tarts, fast food, soda, and the classic, fruit loops. These are "educated" people - who worked out!....the definition of education obviously needs to be redefined because that is just plain stupidity. We are our children's first teachers in life - and to sit there and eat a salad while you feed them total crap is such a joke. Our children are sick from the laziness of the parents. Period. As for the school systems, they should all be ashamed in what they feed children in need when for many kids the only meals they get are those at school. My kids aren't perfect Paleo, yet....but they know what an eggplant, a tomato, an avocado and a mango looks and tastes like....
Ok Sean B this one is for you, the beach, the beach, yes I am thinking about the beach!
Leo, what's the load on the Hang Power Cleans? 95/63?
Leo if you get a chance check out the Mobilizing Kahlipa video in the journal. See y'all Thursday.
Chris - watched it last night. Nothing really there yet - just a teaser. The good stuff I hope is coming in the later parts.
Jon - ha, you're wrong. 135/93!
My favorite part of that video is actually the Eggplant:
-I'll give you a hint, it starts with "egg"...
-...EGG SALAD!
Classic!
Michelle- I love having like minded friends to share with! You should post your comments on the Paleo Chix site. I also feed my kids very well (not paleo yet either) and make their lunches daily. They have told me numerous times how jealous their friends are of their healthy foods. When they do get junk food it is a treat as it should be.

9:25 rx'ed. Did first 6 mu's in a row. Squats were horrid - was doing pretty much at a time by the end. Must be Jackie & all the other squats I've been doing. PR none the less.
Good day.
"Nasty Girls" - first time
Rx (but did muscle ups with bent arms instead of starting with them turned out and straight)

definitely struggled with muscle failure on the muscle ups but hey -- I'm pretty proud with the time I finished with!
23:32 - 21 Pull-Ups, 21 Ring Push-Ups, 95# HPC. Gotta get my a** back in gear!

"Nasty Girls" 14:00 Rx
"Nasty Girls" 15:06 Rx. PR by like 2 and a half minutes. Easiest muscleups I've ever done, but I still hate hang cleans.
Error on my last post......
Just checked my log book and apparently I did the "Nasty Girls" WoD back on 10/12/2009 and I had a time of 19:32 and subbed the MU with Jumping MU......So my new time as Rx with 15:38 was a HUGE improvement for me.....Very excited about that!!
12:34 w/ band assisted MU and 115 cleans.
Not sure of exact time approximate 17 mis, Seated squats, 21 Ring Pus Ups, 21 JPUs, Cleans @ #63....
