Here's some shoes that are perfect/popular for CrossFit (with comments in brackets):
Asics Onitsuka Tiger & other flat Asics (Budokan, Shihan etc)
Flat New Balance, Adidas (like Samba) etc
Inov-8 (especially Flite 220, Flite 230)
Vibram Five Fingers (you can pick them up & try them on locally at Travel Country on 436)
and here's some more obscure ones:
Evo Terra Plana (expensive, but look very cool!)
Feelmax (I wish they'd have the Niesa in white - I'd order in a heartbeat)
So in case you're shopping for a pair of new kicks - make sure you don't buy the heavy, cushioned sneaker, but rather a minimalist lightweight shoe perfect for a CrossFitter!

Also if I forgot some awesome shoes worth mentioning - post up. I didn't mention Chucks because I find them heavy and not particularly comfortable.
Wrestling shoes (like the black velcro ones I wear all the time) are very flat as well and are pretty cheap (at least the ones I found). I think I picked mine up for around $40. However they aren't nearly as nice and some people don't particularly like the way they look. Also, they are relatively hard to find and don't last very long when repeatedly used on concrete. The only reason mine have lasted so long is I make sure I never wear them on days we have to run. You can find some wrestling shoes in sports stores though so you can make sure and try them on before buying them.
Remember too, if you aren't looking to spend a lot of money, quite of few of us have picked up a nice flat pair of Asics from Ross for right around $30 or less. I am going to check them out today, my wrestling shoes are starting to fall apart and I am trying to save my Tigers for running WOD's.
Ken Gall who won the Iron Curtain Challenge just won the Georgia Sectional Qualifier by a huge margin.
And I just found a perfect spot for us to do some hill runs & get some tan in the future that's also real nice for the entire family in case some folks will want to bring the kids etc. It's in the Winter Springs Central Winds park - there's a real nice spot. Did a couple sprints there just now on my way back from a bike ride to Oviedo & back.
Also check out Journey's in most of the malls for shoes like the Asics Onitsuka Tiger's. They apparentley just got in the "2010" models and have all the identical and equally comfortable 2009 versions on clearance. I got mine for $30. They are comfortable, light, and look especially awesome. I might not be tan... I might not be jacked... but at least my shoes look cool.
I know there are some badasses out there but today's WOD on the main page is crazy! 75 MU's????
Yeah Sean I saw that and Immediately wanted to try it best Hero WOD I've seen come along in a while.
75 MU isn't as bad as it sounds. A week ago they had another hero workout - 3 rds of 25 L Pull-ups, 25 Ring HSPU & 75 squats. Now that one is borderline impossible!
Monique- Loved the newsletter...need to put some time to check out all your writings on the other pages and I'm glad you're now on Paleo Chix! I'm sure you've seen Primal Mama too - if not check her out on Facebook.
You re-motivated me not to just do Paleo but to suck it up and make the time to write it all down and to plan, plan, plan my meals and cook ahead of time. Its way too easy to just shove some almonds or an apple in my mouth when I'm hungry when I should be eating meat - so I can lose these last 10 pounds and be SEXY for the summer (and for me!).
Leo - Central Winds is a great park! We go there pretty often and its great for big groups....would be a great spot for a Paleo Party cookout....

Sean - good catch man, I guess I blacked that one out of my memory, I don't have a record of it in my journal either...well, in that case, PR SON!
14:35. Considering my past two weeks, I'm ok with that. Besides, it's good to know that it can only get better.
