NOTICE: Massage Clinic this Saturday @ 1pm (after Open Gym). Sean will be conducting mini-massages for members (he will also be bringing in other graduating students to help out). If interested in learning how massage can be beneficial to you & your achy body, then come on in between 11 and 1.

We need more Paleo parties. That food was so good & the company was great, even though I did get beat on ping pong every time. :)

Couldn't go to the paleo party so to make up for it I posted my favorite afternoon pick-me up snack.

415 on the deadlift (PR). The DL warm-up has definitely been good technique practice. 5 on the burpees.

Kind of disappointed but I guess its as Leo said, not time to PR yet. As for the Tabata Burpees, did 9 the first two rounds but then settled into and finished with 8. I found time was more of a factor than anything else.
Deadlift max: 243 lbs!! PR again.

Skill training:
freestanding handstands- many sets of 3 reps- longest air time today
full pistols- 3 sets of 5 each leg- all the way to floor
double-unders- 2 sets 25 in a row (pants falling off), 2 sets of 15-18 in a row, and several sets of 10 in a row
Gymnastic Drills:
5 sets of 5 HSPU (abmat & 10#) and 3 kickups to freestanding HS
5 sets of 1 MU attempt and 2 MU transition&dip (blue band) and 3 deadhang pullups (blue band)
Feel very good today. Calories at 1800.

Leo- signed my daughter up for tumbling lessons with Dru. She started yesterday and we are thrilled with her progress after one lesson! She wants her BHS by cheer tryouts which are in 6 wks.
Also, are you all still ordering from Rosa's farm regularly?
Finally,Should Phil and I consider buying weight lifting belts. I'm a little nervous about him hurting himself to be honest.
Heather - we have the belts at the gym & I'm very careful with Phil - he hasn't really maxed yet & his form is really good - but you both can use the belts that we have at the gym. We don't dl often enough for you to get the belts. Now a pair of lifting shoes for you would go a much further way :)
DLs went 135/225/315/405/455/505(PR) so yay for me! Esp. since I've spent the last 3 weeks hunched over a tile job.
Tabata burpees went 5 for all 8 rounds. Will go for 6 next time. Have to get faster at burpees, the cardio portion wasn't all that bad.

Last week was the first week I did 0 crossfit WOD's since I started and then ate like crap all weekend (and drank a lot) at a sort of High school reunion. Feel gross and I'm sure I put on a bunch of pounds - Did Annie at the hotel tonight in 19:10. Better at DU's but still need to do singles in between...Good to do a Workout... Can't wait to get back in there Wed or Thur!!!

Got a standing back tuck with no spot during tumbling today, after doing about 20 of them I landed on my knee and it's nice and swollen tonight. Still pretty happy I did the back tucks though :)
Was kind of nervous to deadlift on it but got 283# (tied PR)

I did go over 200 - got 223 for my PR so was happy since my goal to hit by Easter was 225. But your 6 for the tabata burpees pushed me to to the same - it was a good day.
