So... I haven't been to the gym at all this week and it's driving me crazy. I've been running to keep a little bit of sanity (ran a 20:30 5k on Tuesday, and I haven't trained for running in months. Thank you Crossfit) Work has been highly unpredictable this week. I should be in at noon today though :) (Even though one of these exercises makes me want to punch babies)
It's a longer work interval than FGB (2 min instead of 1 min) but there's a minute rest in between exercises, whereas in FGB there's no rest between exercises but rather a minute rest between each of the 3 rounds...so FGB is worse than this
Workout was fun today - really! Score 150 and I rx'd it : )
Leo and Monique - thank you for CrossFit and for your dedication and hard work into helping your clients become better all around. My birthday is next week - and I'm proud to say I'll be 37 because I am in much better shape than I was rowing in college : ) And, the diet formula seems to be in the right place after 3 weeks of tweeking it- dropped two pounds this week....down to 134!
Won't be in gymnastics tomorrow - my daughter's 9th b-day - but sounds like a great time (not that I don't need the help b/c I've got the handstand and kipping issues)....will make the next one -
Thanks again for all you do and have a great weekend -
Michelle- thanks for the hard work and dedication you bring with you to the gym, each & every day!! Even if you AND I suffer from TTM (talking too much) :)
Hey guys, just thought I would throw a quick post up telling you if you can make it to the gymnastics seminar we got going on at Lake Mary Allstars, you should definitely make it. Dru is a really great, dedicated instructor. To give you an idea of how good he is, Britt and I are doing back tucks on the spring floor now and we've only been seeing him twice a week for an hour for 3 weeks now. My handstands have improved tremendously. Britt can back hand spring with no spot (along with Leo) and Leo is doing these crazy Aerial things on the tumble track.
Did I mention it is ridiculously fun, especially when someone uber fails? I had an uber fail yesterday and so did Leo.
Someone asked today if it is for members only. NO, it is for anyone who brings $10 with him or her. So if you got free time from 11 to 1, no reason not to come. Leo, Britt, Andrew, and I have a blast every time we do it with just the 4 of us.
Just talked to Ramzi and he said he is going to be there. If watching Ramzi trying to do gymnastics won't get you to come, then I don't know what will. That right there is worth the $10.
And for the record, 4 months to the day that I started the CrossFit On-Ramp and this the first time I've ever been able to put an "Rx'd" after my time. While I'm sure that due to the nature of the WoD itself, the Rx weight was lighter than in nearly every other WoD I've done, it's still nice to see. Looking forward to the next time.
Total: 167 65#, 14 # wall ball (started with 20, but what a fail), step ups (Achilles tendonitis)
On reflection, I could have gotten a few more Reps from the Push Press and SDHP; wall ball was a complete fail; I left it all on the rower, so felt good about that effort.
