The last time I got my ass kicked this early in the morning my mother did. I can't remember why, but you can ask her when she comes in tonight.
This was tough. Way tougher than it looks. I was thinking between 23-25 minutes but ended up doing the WOD with 135# (instead of 155# because both Monique and I thought the lockout was looking a little shady) in 28:44! I need to work on my jerk speed. Maybe I can incorporate it into the warm up.
Feel your pain Sean. I knew the weight was going to be too heavy but didn't really predict how bad the GHD would mess me up. After the first 50 situps hip flexors were so shot I couldn't squat the bar. The new GHDs are harder to me, they wobble more and my butt slides around with the split pad so have to work harder to stabilize.
Time was a stupid 32 something. Missed some of the jerks and had to rest tons.
John - me and Andrew are signed up. I'm pretty positive Matt W is going. Not sure about Paul - with his new SWAT schedule it might be rough, but pretty sure he really wanted to compete.
I would like to compete but after being humbled at the 300 challenge, I am having second thoughts. I would definitely have to step up my game w/ training and diet game.

Thank you, Monique and Leo, for your hospitality to Patty and I at CF Evolution! Great box, awesome trainers, wonderful people. I will definitely be back.
As for the workout: Agreed on all counts -- this WOD is way tougher than it looks. I did it in 24:24 (back in chilly Ann Arbor, Michigan), using 115# on the C&Js. I felt just the way Lori did on the squat cleans being hard since my hip flexors were pretty much shot after all the GHD situps!
Cannot make it in tonight. Tried hard, but work has gotten in the way (have to pay the bills, right?). I did get in an interval training workout on the rower at lunchtime, since I thought I might double up. Did 20:10X10; rested about 5 minutes, then did 20 minutes on the stair climber (rotating staircase) - am trying to do some hiking-like exercises to prepare for the mountain hiking in August.
On Saturday, Patrick and I were on a Boy Scout activity at the camp near Ocala. I spent much of the day hiking the trails on camp with another adult, while the boys played hard. Had my boots on all day, so I have begun to get my feet accustomed to wearing them, and making sure there are no pressure spots for blisters to form.
No need to be humbled by Leo bro, that is just BADASSITY at work. Plus always nice to do it RX. Did anyone else split jerk in this WOD or am I the only one?
Sean- Badassity! Great word. 38:51 doing GHD's the whole time with 53#. The weight was light, but I felt like I was coming in pretty cold after a week off. Iced my lower back at dinner and now enjoying the new flavor of coconut milk ice cream- Mango! sooo yum. Thank you everyone for the congrats- we will be posting pics as soon as we can. I already saw the CF one we made and it is very...how should I say?...Proof of serious Badassity!
45:???? I can't remember the exact time but really once I hit 40 minutes plus does it really matter how many seconds I went past the first 2700. So let's just call it sub 46 minutes.
Taylor you are pushing up something close to BW so good job. Can't wait to see the pictures Kristin. You two (uh not judging you Taylor) looked beautiful! Leo and Monique dressed up was a moment for the ages!
Good deal Antonio. I tought you would split jerk, but I was not sure. Good effort Matt. You Rx'ed it so you still get props.
See yall tomorrow maybe during the evening class.
(Not directed to George) Where the hell are the 7AM people? Think yall can make it on Wednesday?
I did split jerks. And only 83#. My overhead strength still nowhere near where I'd like it to be. Saw that Leo did it almost like thrusters. I shoulda tried that.
RXed between 24-28 minutes (forget time) (100#) hurt real bad however, finally started scooping the bar and got the bruises to prove it this will increase my oly weights a lot

Good WOD!
BW 222
17:28 rx'ed.
Haven't sweated this much for a while. Allergies feel a ton better today - thanks to the rain.
Yeah, I was just starting my set of 20 GHD at 17 min. I figured on a few people doing sub twenty rx'ed. You were one of them.
Who is planning to compete in the Dirty South Crossfit Qualifer competition?

And I expect you to sign up, John :)

See you on Tuesday.
26:57 RX. Proud to have completed rx but humbled by Leo's time.

23:19 @ 95#
Switched to regular sit ups after getting motion sick on the the GHD.

Sean I spilt jerked it. When i left Craig was the only other RX I think Craig Push Pressed. Matt might have Rxed as well. Not sure...

Taylor forget about the ahout the body weight comment. I think you are 150# plus not 135#.

Thrusters would've been much harder Lori.
On the scale of Faster+Harder to Easier+Slower - it goes like this:
Squat Clean ->Thruster
Squat Clean ->Stand Up->Recover-> Push Jerk
Squat Clean ->Split Jerk.
Mine were all thrustered up.
RXed
between 24-28 minutes (forget time)
(100#)
hurt real bad
however, finally started scooping the bar and got the bruises to prove it
this will increase my oly weights a lot
