T-shirts & Picking Your Class
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 2:19PM
The Challenge T-shirts are in! They do shrink quite a bit after the first wash & have an athletic fit after that (a bit smaller than normal sizes). They're very nice soft ring spun cotton tee's. The excess shirts after athletes get theirs - will be for sale at $10 per shirt. Drago is cool!
Now let's discuss picking your class. Here's some thoughts that can help you:
1. If you've been doing CF for less than 6 months, don't have a long history of athletics, it's your first CF competition or if you can't complete any movements of the Rx class - choose CrossFit Class (aka Scaled). Have fun, enjoy the camaraderie & experience a CF competition!
2. If you're not quite sure if you can do all the movements from the RTG class or have never competed in CF before - go for the Rx Class. Make the experience positive. Finish all the WoD's & improve for the next Competition (Sectional CF Games Qualifiers in March). Rising to the occasion happens and you indeed might perform better than normal, but generally peopl default to their level of training. If you have a glaring gap - it will be revealed. DNF is generally not cool.
3. If you're bad ass and there's nothing that can crush you, you have no weaknesses and Chuck Norris is scared of you - RTG is right for you.
Hopefully that helps to pick the right class for you.

Ok so why am I doing RTG again?!?
Britt -
A) Because you can
and
B) Because you don't really get a choice.
Simple.
Because Chuck Norris is scared of you!
Those pistols are going to make me look like a 230# fool...I'm going to tumble like a California Redwood.
